Before you’re able to become a DMR Method patient and benefit from this advanced, nonsurgical care for neck and back pain, a DMR Method provider must qualify you as a patient. The fact of the matter being, there are a select few conditions the DMR Method does not treat. And, when you’re accepted into a DMR Method treatment program, we want to be as certain as possible that it’ll work for you.
What to Expect During Your DMR Method Consultation
Before your consultation, there are steps you can take to help the process move along more smoothly. In the infographic below, we’ve outlined how to mentally and physically prepare for your initial consultation, along with describing what the consultation and examination will include.

Before Your Consultation
Prepare for a conversation with your DMR Method provider. The goal here is to help your provider get to know your condition while they get to know you as a person. Since it can be difficult to remember all the details of your condition on the spot, we reccommend preparing beforehand:
- Gather previous medical records
- Review the history of your condition
- Learn about the DMR Method
- Write down any questions you’d like to ask
- Cultivate a positive, hopeful attitude
Make the transition into your physical examination an easy one by wearing comfortable clothes, tying back long hair, and leaving jewelry at home. You’re welcome to eat and drink normally before the consultation and remember to relax!
During Your Consultation
You and your provider will discuss anything and everything related to your condition and medical history. The more your provider and your treatment team know about your condition and your personality, the more specific they can make your treatment program. The goal of your initial consultation and examination is to collect enough information to diagnose your condition and begin forming your treatment program.
